The Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) recently published the 2019 edition of its annual Natural and Catastrophic Disaster Parish Resource Book. This resource, released annually at the start of hurricane season, contains a variety of critical information for parishes and other local governments to guide them through the process of responding to a natural disaster.
The information in the book includes LDEQ parish liaison contacts; maps and figures illustrating background concepts; and comprehensive guides on intergovernmental coordination debris management, permitting, and other situations.
