Last week, Rhode Island released its first comprehensive climate preparedness strategy, Resilient Rhody. The 85-page report was compiled using information from the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management, among other agencies, and recommends five dozen actions to reduce impacts of a changing climate.
The strategy seeks to improve communication among emergency management groups and ensure that all state agencies work off the same projections for impacts of rising seas and severe storms.
