To celebrate the 75th anniversary of Delaware State Parks, Delaware Department of Natural Resources & Environmental Control Secretary Greg Patterson recently took on the Amazing Parks Race, visiting all 17 state parks in a single day. The ambitious journey across the state allowed him to experience the recreation, history, wildlife, and natural beauty that make Delaware’s state park system unique.
Over the course of one day, Patterson traveled from the Atlantic Ocean to the Delaware River and from southern Delaware to Wilmington, stopping at every state park along the way including historic sites, beaches, marshes, and family destinations.
