The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and other members of New Jersey’s Interagency Council on Climate Resilience (IAC) will host the final webinar in a series on extreme heat on September 16 at 11 a.m. The program will feature a panel of community experts discussing the impacts of extreme heat and strategies to help communities prepare for and respond to extreme heat events.
The IAC was established to develop short- and long-term action plans that promote the mitigation, adaptation, and resilience of New Jersey’s economy, communities, infrastructure, and natural resources. The Council supports the development and implementation of New Jersey’s Statewide Climate Change Resilience Strategy, the foundational policy framework guiding state agency actions to address the impacts of climate change.
