New Jersey is making available more than $5M in grants under two new programs designed to enhance stormwater management and climate resilience in communities.
The new grant programs are part of the state’s Ready to Be Resilient Stormwater and Resilience Funding Program, launched last year to spur modernization of stormwater infrastructure and management strategies in the face of increased precipitation.
The Department of Environmental Protection is making nearly $3.7M available to help counties map existing stormwater infrastructure and plan projects that include green infrastructure. Another $1.35M in grants will promote stormwater management compliance for public entities at their wood-waste recycling and leaf-composting facilities.
