In preparation for the 2026 World Cup, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (MoDNR) is partnering with U.S. EPA and other governmental agencies to conduct air monitoring during matches and practices held in Kansas City.
Using state-of-the-art monitoring instruments, MoDNR will be able to detect unsafe levels of particulate matter and hazardous substances. This data will help inform actions necessary to maintain a safe and healthy environment for spectators and participants alike.
