The Interstate Technology & Regulatory Council (ITRC) has released an updated and expanded version of its PFAS Technical and Regulatory Web Guidance Document (PFAS-1). The revised guidance incorporates new science, emerging issues, and practical lessons learned to support more informed and consistent PFAS site management decisions. The expanded PFAS-1 includes new and enhanced content on PFAS history and use, firefighting foams, fate and transport, site characterization, health effects, sampling and analysis, treatment technologies, biosolids land application, and PFAS and microplastics. It also adds expanded guidance on sorption-based treatment technologies, a new PFAS and vapor intrusion fact sheet, and new case studies.
