Georgia’s Adopt-A-Stream Volunteers Gather at Annual Confluence

This Saturday, volunteers with Georgia’s Adopt-A-Stream program, which is supported by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division (EPD), will gather at Confluence for workshops, presentations, and a celebration of their work. This annual one-day event offers opportunities for volunteers to get recertified in chemical and bacterial monitoring, hear from EPD watershed protection staff, and review how to conduct a visual stream survey. During lunch, awards will be presented to recognize outstanding volunteers, trainers, and organizations that support the Adopt-A-Stream program.
