The District of Columbia’s Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE) is seeking community input for its newly released draft climate adaptation plan. The plan, Climate Ready DC, identifies current and future impacts of a changing climate on the District’s infrastructure, public facilities, and residents. Climate Ready DC also includes 74 actions the District must take to ensure the safety and prosperity of our communities in the face of a changing climate.
Based on the best available climate science, Climate Ready DC was developed through consultation with leading experts, including a team of national consultants, 15 District government agencies, and 11 community based organizations, as well as input from two community meetings.
