In 2010, ECOS compiled a list of state environmental agency business process improvement activities. This year, ECOS undertook a second outreach effort in order to fill this five-year information gap. The 2016 effort yielded an inventory of state BPI projects completed since 2010, and plentiful information on lessons learned, planned projects and other BPI themes.
This report provides an overview of the information gathered in the 2016 outreach and offers practical recommendations based on collected state perspectives on BPI.
