This joint letter (NCSL and ECOS) reiterates the appreciation for changes that have been made to previous versions of the Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act (S. 697). It also notes that continued dialogue with the states as well as additional modifications are critical for constructing the final version of a comprehensive law that protects public health and the environment.
