In June and July 2021, ECOS and the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) collaborated with the American Association for the Advancement of Science’s Center for Scientific Evidence in Public Issues (AAAS EPI Center) for a discussion series on PFAS. 10 panelists, including state regulators, scientists, and community advocates, addressed PFAS in drinking water and underserved communities, risk communication, and toxicology, among other topics. This document includes key takeaways and summaries of these sessions.
