This ECOS Green Report highlights the utility of off-site compliance monitoring (OfCM), including the use of virtual walkthroughs to supplement but not supplant onsite inspection activities. Based on the results of an ECOS survey, the report describes which state programs have conducted OfCM, whether inspectors were able to identify significant noncompliance from remote activities and details benefits of and challenges faced while implementing OfCM.
