This Press statement on the President’s FY18 EPA budget, released this morning, notes ECOS’ commitment to engaging with the Administration and Congress to ensure that funds are appropriately distributed to assure sustained support for key state environmental initiatives. It stresses the importance of categorical grants, which are cut significantly under the FY18 proposal, in supporting state implementation of federal environmental programs delegated to them over the past four decades.
