Last week, the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (Ohio EPA) hosted its second in a series of three Environmental Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math (STEM) Days for high school students in Zanesville. Students had the opportunity to engage with Ohio EPA experts and partner organizations to learn about careers, programs, and resources in environmental STEM, and participate in interactive activities and presentations on environmental science.
Ohio EPA staff were joined by the Ohio State University College of Engineering, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, and other educational institutions, state agencies, and businesses. Partners created 16 hands-on exhibits to spark interest in environmental science career paths and help students and teachers gain valuable knowledge and resources.
